Illusions Thai Cafe Corporate Identity
IDEAS2IMAGE created a brand for Illusions Thai restaurant, so that the firm could pursue and strategy that would capture the business of a young market that worked in the area.
Project Synopsis
As patrons enter Illusions Thai Cafe, they are transported to southern Thailand, as they walk amongst floor to ceiling murals and a veritable bamboo forest. The proprietor of this cafe asked IDEAS2IMAGE to extend the restaurant’s ambiance into the brand image of the firm, so that the promotional activities of the firm could be given a unified appearance.
IDEAS2IMAGE began the brand development process by examining the physical space, flow of business, and clientele. The establishment is situated amongst corporate offices and apartments—each representing a very demographic. However, the majority of food sales were generated during lunch, from the office workers. The decision was made to build a brand the primarily appealed to this segment, by positioning Illusions Thai as a “hip” location amongst more pedestrian alternatives.
Through an iterative process IDEAS2IMAGE created a log design that used high-contrast and bright colors, to achieve the edgy look that the owner wanted. Inspired by the physical space, we selected color palettes, created business cards, and promotional materials.
Process: Learn–Solve–Deliver
In the context of brand identity, our process is applied by first learning about your organization’s marketing mix, product, and target audience. We explore the qualities that define your brand, and then conduct research to gauge the brand perception in the marketplace.
We solve the core brand problems that we identify, by devising approaches that will improve brand identity or bring clarity to an established brand. The approaches that we suggest can be tested in a controlled environment to determine the best course forward.
We deliver brand improvements by creating logo designs, style guides, or strategies that address the issues that emerged during our discovery process. We refine the shape, color, and presentation of logo designs; fine tune corporate identity; and implement strategic brand initiatives.
