AUSTIN, TEXAS—February 27, 2009—IDEAS2IMAGE®, an interactive design agency, delivered a multimedia exhibit to an international financial firm, in support of The History Factory. The interactive exhibit includes a touchscreen display, multiple integrated screens, data-driven multimedia presentations, video, and a web management system to control scheduling and content. The digital components of the exhibit are designed to echo the aesthetic of The History Factory’s corporate Heritage exhibit.
From planning through execution, IDEAS2IMAGE worked closely with The History Factory to establish communication objectives, technical requirements, and a design treatment that would supplement the physical exhibit that the firm created. The interactive media components of the project are built in Adobe Flash™, making extensive use of custom written ActionScripts that are integrated with PHP components. Because live data are integrated into the presentations, IDEAS2IMAGE built many fail-safe protective measures into the media. For example, local copies of all data are stored on the client machines, so that visual continuity of the presentation is maintained in the event that a server connection cannot be established.
The exhibit consists of six displays, all of which are controlled from an easy to use web management system. This system was custom-built for The History Factory’s project by IDEAS2IMAGE. A user-friendly interface enables the user to quickly manage a specific component of the sophisticated exhibit, with requiring technical expertise.
